The Words

As someone who loves to write, I was intrigued by the preview for the movie The Words. Starring Bradley Cooper, the movie appeared to be about an author who became famous off of a novel that he didn’t write.

For the majority of the movie, I was on the edge of my seat following the storyline. I wanted to know what was going to happen to Bradley Cooper’s character and the repercussions for stealing the elderly man’s story. The story and flashbacks of the present time were beautifully woven together with the past story of the old man. Like a good book, I didn’t want the story to end.

I did figure out the ending before the movie was over. Or at least, I think I figured out the ending that I think the movie intended for people to assume was the proper ending. It was a story within a story about a story. I really enjoyed it and I would definitely recommend it.
