Expanding on yesterday’s post:
“When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate. When he suffered, he made no threats of revenge. Instead, he left it in the hands of God, and entrusted himself to him who judges justly.” – 1 Peter 2:23-25
It’s so important to remember that having spite or bitterness or anger towards someone else is truly only hurting yourself and wasting your own time.
You’ll never be able to control other peoples actions and when someone wrongs you- instead of trying to get even with them or give them “what they deserve” – ignore them. Move on with your life and leave them behind. It’s easy to look at someone else’s life and think “Why are they getting so much good in their life when they have wronged me or wronged someone else?” But that’s not up to you- God has a plan and karma doesn’t have an expiration date.
You are not responsible FOR other people: FOR their actions, comments, or behavior.
You are responsible TO other people: To treat them kindly and with respect.
Move on, take the high road and start a new chapter- all it takes is turning the page.
